The 151st birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, a champion of peace and unity, was celebrated with great pomp and gaiety on October 2nd at the Gowrigadde Ashram in Chikkamagaluru. The event was celebrated under the aegis of Avadhootha Sri Vinay Guruji, founder of the Mahatma Gandhi Seva Trust. People who attended the program maintained social distancing to avoid spread of corona virus. Wheelchairs were distributed to the disabled and help in various forms was extended to the socially backward people.  on the occasion.
